The Prince George’s County Chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., in partnership with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Mitchellville-Bowie Section, will host a Blood Drive on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Prince George’s County Community College during our Health Fair and Fun Run/Walk - Prince George’s County Community College located at 301 Largo Road, Largo, Maryland.
African American blood donors are critical in helping patients battling sickle cell disease receive the most compatible blood match. Today, we are working to grow the number of black blood donors to meet this need. Blood drives to help provide lifesaving blood to the over 100,000 patients fighting sickle cell disease.
To donate blood, you must be between 17 and 74 years of age (16 years old with parental consent).
Before your appointment, drink an extra 16 oz. of water (or other nonalcoholic drink).
Eat a healthy meal, and avoid fatty foods like hamburgers, fries, or ice cream.
At least 110 lbs. if you are 21 years or older.
